Jessica Goldman, OTD, OTR/L is a nationally board-certified and licensed occupational therapist dedicated to helping children thrive through meaningful, occupation-based interventions.

Education & Expertise

Jessica earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from the University of Florida in 2024, where her doctoral capstone project pioneered an innovative occupational therapy approach to address pediatric dental anxiety and healthcare-related fears. Her clinical training included intensive fieldwork rotations at UF Health Jacksonville Trauma One Hospital in acute care and Wolfson Children's Hospital in outpatient pediatric care.

Her foundation in child development was established through her bachelor's degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University. This interdisciplinary background provided her with a deep understanding of the whole-person approach to rehabilitation, incorporating insights from speech-language pathology and audiology into her occupational therapy practice.

 

Real-World Experience

Since 2018, Jessica has worked as a caregiver and nanny for children with special needs, giving her invaluable hands-on experience beyond the clinical setting. In these roles, she naturally integrates occupation-based activities to support children in developing essential skills including:
